My Students
I teach kindergarten through 8th grade in ELA and Mathematics. My students are students with disabilities and need lessons modified to their individual needs. The more educational resources I can use will help them achieve academic greatness during this difficult time in our country. They are at home learning remotely due to the pandemic.
My Project
I teach students with disabilities in Brooklyn, NYC. I teach ELA & MATH in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. With this being said, we were ALL thrown into remote learning overnight and being that I teach so many kids and grade levels it is hard for me to organize the students work. My students thrive to succeed even in these uncertain times that we are in. Having binders for each grade level and dividers for those binders will help with student portfolios needed for next school year. These binders will hold all of their hard work and will move with them from one grade to another. I also setup a mini-classroom in my home where I teach them in meets with google classroom. Many students have said that the lighting in this room is to dark/dim and I need the lamp set to accommodate these children who can see what I'm doing because of this lighting issue. My students and I would be forever grateful if this project gets funded.
