My students need method books for practicing their string instruments. I would love to allow students to check out a book with their instruments, so it is easier to practice at home.

My Students
Our orchestra students are a vibrant and energetic crowd. These students have various life experiences that make school and music an especially exciting place to be. Our school is in a low socioeconomic neighborhood and many families cannot afford music or instruments. Thankfully, we have several violins for families to borrow at no cost, but many families do not have access to the practice book for rehearsals.
Music Mission Statement: To instill a life-long love of music and creativity that fosters positive action in all students.
Students have the opportunity to choose from four music classes. Students that are heavily involved in these groups are often leaders on our campus and also participate in Student Council, Honor Society and Student Summit. I'm always proud of the students because they're always working to improve!
My Project
I am requesting violin, viola, cello and string bass practice books that will help our Orchestra students reach their musical goals. The Essential Elements for Strings is a classic method book that teaches beginning string players the fundamental skills involved with playing string instruments. This project is asking for 40 method books which will be enough for a complete classroom set.
Orchestra students deserve high-quality music to practice.
The Essential Elements for Strings series includes high-quality music that will teach fundamentals and history through the music. Students will enjoy practicing their music at home because they have great historical music to play.
We will use these books during every rehearsal and students will be able to take these books home to practice. The books will become an integral part of our Orchestra classes.
