Our school music room has a beautiful set of baritone ukuleles waiting to be used. Unfortunately, they are inaccessible to students as the only place they can currently be stored safely is in a storage closet. My goal is to make the music room more accessible for students by installing guitar racks to hold the ukuleles in the back of the room. Ukuleles can remain safely on the rack while they are not in use and the racks provide easy access to taking the ukuleles out and putting them away during class time.
Students show promising musical skills that will easily and successfully transfer to the piano.
More importantly, the students have also expressed deep interest in learning to play piano. I believe all students can leave our school with basic piano skills if there were more pianos easily accessible. Pianos can also be used alongside ukuleles, further enhancing students' musical abilities and instrument techniques.
