Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I am requesting are supplies to help my students stay organized. We are an AVID school with an emphasis on WICOR strategies in all classrooms. I will be teaching our AVID 7 class on the elective wheel this year. Students will use highlighters during focused note taking, storage bags to store and organize headphones (already in the classroom) that will be used during FEV tutoring sessions, folders to store their binder and grade checks, and staplers and hole punchers to add their notes to their AVID binders. With the reward chart, punch cards, and stickers I will be able to incentivize my students for staying organized and completing their binder and grade checks weekly. I will be able to purchase lessons, resources, and organizational templates on TPT with the gift card that I requested. The college pennants will be displayed in my classroom to help remind students that they can always go to college.
