My Students

My students are amazing. They have a love of learning and a love for each other. I would love to push them as far as they can go before they move on to kindergarten. Having them ready for kindergarten will give them a jump start to being a lifelong learner and someone who loves school.

My school is very diverse and it is wonderful.

There are so many different cultures, values and beliefs; it is incredible. I love spending time with the students, not just in my class, but the older kids as well. I learn a lot from them! Students, as well as teachers, look out for each other at school.

We are all team players and have each others' best interest at heart. I would love to be able to give my students everything they need to help them succeed inside and outside of the classroom. With these new materials, I can give them a better classroom and new experiences. We strive at becoming leaders in our building and even though we are the youngest at our school, we are bright and determined to do our best possible work.

My Project

The past few years that I have taught at this school, I have been lucky enough to have my Scholastic magazine project funded. I am asking for a class set of subscriptions.

I really enjoy these magazines and my students do as well.

They are bright and colorful and the perfect length to be engaging to 3 & 4 year olds but not overwhelming to read together as a small group or whole class. The magazines usually line up with different topics we are already covering in class and it is great to have another resource to share with the students. I use the website account that goes along with the magazines and we are able to watch short videos over the topics that are discussed in the magazines. Another great way to reinforce the topic we are discussing.
