My Students

All schools are experiencing budget cuts. We should not let this affect student achievement. My students need help understanding math concepts. Manipulatives will help GREATLY!

Although my students are below grade level, they are very eager to learn.

They enjoy learning math concepts using materials and games rather than the classic paper and pencil. Allowing students access to more manipulatives will broaden their understanding of tough math concepts.

My Project

Fifth grade is a tough grade level. Many abstract math concepts exist. Seeing my students eye light up from the excitement of grasping concepts by using manipulatives is very powerful to me. I want to see them succeed and have a stronger math foundation before entering middle school.
