This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us explore our wonderful past outside the classroom.

I have a wonderful class of fourth graders who attend a public school in New York City.

Unfortunately, most of my students either live in shelters or come from single parent homes. Since money is very scarce, they are not able to experience many luxuries such as trips.

My Project

A trip to the Museum of the City of New York will allow my students to have a hands on experience while they are learning about the Native Americans. They will be able to see artifacts first hand, rather than reading about them in books. This workshop will teach my students about the Lenape settlements and their surrounding habitat.

Your donation will give my students the opportunity to visit the Museum of the City of New York.

I am sure that this trip will have a lasting memory. It will make learning about the Lenape Native Americans an exciting experience. Without your gift, this trip will not be possible.
