it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a school where students are taught on-site three days a week and are homeschooled two days a week. We have a strong sense of community as teachers and parents collaborate to promote students' success.

These students are fearless and thrive when they have a variety of tools to engage with. Although each student's learning environment differs greatly from each other, they are united in our classroom.
My Project
Teaching is more than just focusing on content standards. Students also need to learn life skills. One life skill I enjoy teaching all year is financial responsibility. In my class I have a Classroom Economy where students are able to earn money by being respectful, kind, safe, and doing their best.
I want to motivate students to work hard and encourage positive behavior especially as they are adapting to being back in the classroom during a pandemic.
As students earn cash throughout the day, they will be able to purchase materials provided by this project. For example, there will be items for personal needs such as Chapstick and snacks, fidget toys to help keep them focused, and school supplies like pencils and notebooks. This will help keep students motivated and remind them that their teacher sees their hard work and effort throughout the school year.
