Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Almost all of my second grade students are from homes where English is a second language. Despite the challenges of coming from immigrant homes, my students put forth the maximum effort and embrace challenges to become super-star second graders. Our school is a Title I school with 90% of our student population on a free/reduced-price lunch program.

The challenges of being in the brick-and-mortar classroom during these COVID times can take a toll on learning and teaching.

My students need to feel safe and confident in a trusting, nurturing, caring, kind, and loving environment at all times.

My Project

My second grade students will truly benefit from a document camera as they learn in all subjects areas - science, social studies, math, reading and language arts, and social-emotional learning.

The AVerVision U50 USB Flexarm Document camera is an excellent teaching tool that engages students and keeps them actively involved in their learning.

Additionally, I will not have to make as many copies, thus helping to save trees and modeling to my students how we all have a role in conservation.
