Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Diverse, hard-working, friendly, and well-behaved are just a few of the words to describe the students at my school. Overcoming the challenges that tend to come with living in an inner city does not come easy to many groups of children. Throughout the years, however, the students at this school have achieved great things (both academically and socially) time and time again.
I cannot imagine working with a more well-rounded and talented group of students.
These students always set high goals for themselves, and more often than not, they reach those lofty goals!
My Project
My students library of books needs a makeover. Currently my library is filled with paperback books that are old and worn out. This project is filled with hardcover books and box sets that my fourth grade students will enjoy reading. The hard cover books will last for years to come in my classroom.
When students have access to high-quality, high-interest books by great authors they will be motivated to read.
Even though reading on devices is popular today, nothing beats holding a book. With your donations, my students will enjoy having a variety of hardcover books and boxed sets to choose from.
