Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten students are creative, thoughtful and very inquisitive. They absolutely love hands-on, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think independently.
Our school is located in Worcester, Massachusetts.
We are one of the many elementary schools in the city that teach and service children living below the poverty line. Although there are many obstacles for my students to overcome, they love coming to school and cherish every opportunity to learn.
The materials and supplies that I am requesting will help our classroom begin the year fresh and organized. These supplies will provided the students with the proper tools needed to be successful learners.
Music is a multi-sensory experience. Using music in my classroom will provide my students the ability to learn through listening, seeing, feeling and moving. Music allows all children of widely differing abilities to learn.
Having these supplies and learning tools will not only help in the learning process, but it will make learning fun.
