The Microscopic World Comes to Life in the Classroom!
My students need a digital stereomicroscope to examine objects such as flower parts, fingerprints, and minerals that cannot be examined with a light microscope.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students want to discover the hidden world that cannot be seen with the naked eye! My classes of 36+ students do not have any stereomicroscopes or enough light microscopes for learning to take place. But there is a solution, a digital stereomicroscope will open up this world to my students!
My students attend a small middle school near downtown Los Angeles, CA.
Our students are mostly English Language Learners from various backgrounds. Our school is a 100% free lunch program school, meaning that there are few resources available for these kids to learn outside of what is provided to them during school hours.
My Project
Being able to use a digital stereoscope will allow my students to examine objects that cannot be seen up close using a compound microscope or hand lens (both of which are also in limited quantities at our school). Due to extremely large class sizes, being able to have enough microscopes to accommodate 40 students per class is not a reality, so a digital stereoscope will allow us to perform the investigations needed to better understand scientific concepts and grade level learning standards. They will be able to examine flowers, fingerprints, minerals, and other objects up close and learn how the world works with the visual support that this stereoscope will provide for them.
This digital stereoscope is the only resource that can unlock the mysteries of the world that is hidden to the naked eye.
It will engage and extend the learning of my students and help me implement a constructivist, hands-on approach to learning science!!
