Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I feel like my students are some of the best students and we teach them to become our future. Some of my students lost their homes and many items due to Hurricane Harvey. Considering all of these effects, they still come to my class eager to learn. My students are hard workers, I have students who range from being in the United States their whole lives, and I have students who also have just arrived from El Salvador, Mexico, or Honduras.
My students are learning in my class to have goals in life, have ambitions, as well as learn and become educated of their Science content.
My Project
We live in a world now where technology is a real big deal for our youth, and they seem to learn better when technology is incorporated in the classroom. After our students were impacted by Hurricane Harvey, many of my students are not able to use technology at their house, due to a lack of. Having this extra laptop will give students a chance to complete assignments and not be able to use the excuse of not having a means of working on it.
Donating for this project, you will help a student, be able to succeed, no matter what their home/financial situation is.
When we show students a sense of care, students will work a lot harder for their teacher. With so many great technology applications that we utilize in the classroom, we won't have to penalize the students who don't have, access to technology at home.
