This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Marvel Mart is more than just a campus store—it's a student-led initiative built on leadership, responsibility, and school pride. After recognizing the positive impact the store had in previous years, a group of passionate student leaders advocated directly to campus administration to bring it back. Their voices were heard, and Marvel Mart was relaunched—by students, for students.

This store is run by a dedicated student team that handles everything from stocking shelves to managing inventory, greeting customers, and creating promotional materials.

With guidance from staff mentors, these students are learning real-world skills in communication, math, organization, and entrepreneurship—all within the walls of elementary.

Even more inspiring? These same students have recently achieved notable gains on state assessments, showing that when students are trusted with leadership opportunities, it fuels their academic growth, confidence, and motivation.
