My Students

Our students are AWESOME! They are unique, and creative and talented. They come from all walks of life. We have a wonderful school and are surrounded by supportive parents and family members.

Our school is ready to help students find out what their talent is and give them opportunities that they may not normally get to have because of low-income levels and lack of resources.

We are ready to put the "fun" back in the fundamentals! We are ready to teach kids how to be creative and successful.

My Project

Our media center is revamping to produce 21st Century Learners. One new thing I would like to add is a Makerspace area to our media center. The students need an avenue to build, tinker, and be creative. They need an area where they can explore independently, come up with project ideas, make mistakes and be successful! A Makerspace area will provide students with the opportunity to do all of this. The students will be allowed to visit the media center to expand their STEM education. Our school is trying to incorporate lots of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) lessons into our curriculum. I have requested materials such as Legos and Tinker Toys to add to our Makerspace area. The students can complete individual tasks, build and be creative! With more and more

emphasis being put on testing, our school needs to have an outlet for students to do something different, something fun and something challenging.

The building materials I have requested will do just that!
