This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. They can lounge on chairs, stretch out on the carpet, or sit on our classroom benches. They love reading there independently but also LOVE to follow along with read alouds. This year we will continue on our Harry Potter journey by reading the second book.

I am excited for the opportunity to create a classroom environment that my students will thrive in by finding out all the magical places books can take us to.

These books will allow students to hear the voice of the characters but also help them build their own fluency by following along and identifying new words. In addition to this, I am hoping to add some literacy games to my classroom to make their learning experience that much better.
