The Magic of Harry Potter

My Students

In my classroom we study 6th grade English at an International Baccalaureate Magnet School.

The students come from diverse backgrounds but all have one thing in common: They come to school to work hard and achieve the ambitious goals that they set for themselves.

The International Baccalaureate curriculum is definitely challenging so the expectations I set for my students are high but their dedication to the pursuit of knowledge is truly impressive. I am so proud of them each and every day!

My Project

These books will transform our classroom library into a magical realm where the kids can lose themselves in a great book, or two, or maybe even seven. This project is designed to help students have access to the high interest Harry Potter series and supplemental texts that can help immerse them into the world of Harry Potter. If they read one, they will likely read them all and that is the ultimate goal... to get the kids hooked on reading. This project includes several copies of the books so that kids can form literature circles and enjoy the books together if they like or on their own.
