What is it about dry erase boards? Is it that you can erase the markers with your fingers? Or that you get your own marker and board to practice? Whatever it is, we LOVE them!
We are 26 hard-working kindergarteners from all different walks of life who attend a school just outside Chicago.
We attend a culturally and economically diverse school that does its best to service our needs! We LOVE learning and we are doing a great job at it! Right now we are learning to read! We do lots of fun reading activities in centers, our reading block, and through thematic units! Do you know what we love the most though? DRY ERASE BOARDS!! We love, love, LOVE working with them!!
My Project
My students have been able to work with dry erase boards in centers, but we have not been able to as a class. I have 6 paddle dry erase boards, 6 plain boards, and 4 Elkonian dry erase boards. I would love to be able to work on our sound blending during circle time with all 26 of my students! They each deserve an engaging way to learn to read and this is one of the most fun and simple solutions! We go through markers pretty fast as you can imagine and I don't want to hold the children back! This gift will help the children learn to read, blend sounds, and create sentences.
Learning to read is one of the most influential aspects of a child's education.
Please help us develop the skills that will carry us through our lives. My students are some of the best children I have ever met and I know they will be so thankful! Thank you for considering our class to give to. We greatly appreciate your gift!
