The Magic Carpet

Help me give my students an ultimate 1st grade experience. This will allow them to feel comfortable, at home, and want to share space with others.

My Students

My "Champions" are busy, excited and very respectful. The scholars love visual art. I plan on teaching all content areas of 1st grade using art work. My theme is " Welcome To Our Journey"! My scholars are ready to explore the World through all content areas of reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. They may not have attended Kindergarten, which means that this may be their 1st year of school. I want them to feel safe. This rug would make a big difference.

My Project

This added room accent will allow my scholars a place to share and or call their own. The colors will brighten their day. The shapes will enhance learning math. The rug will also encorage the scholars to want to use measurement. The space will allow space for all. After teaching for almost 20 years, I know exactly why each teacher should have a new rug every year. This project will bring solitude and sharing spaces for all who endure. The look of the scholars eyes will tell the difference. I have future architects, mathematicians, athletes, teachers, doctors, and salesmen. Their future could begin with this rug.
