Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a Kindergarten teacher. All of my students speak languages other than English at home. They love to sing and dance while learning about something new! This is the first time most of my students have been in a school setting.
I have an extraordinary group of students whom I have come to love dearly.
They love counting different things and practicing their handwriting. Helping one another is something I see in my class daily, especially if a friend does not understand English.
My Project
Having a new spacious rug in our classroom will make learning on the rug less distracting. The students are usually all bunched on top of each other, which causes some friends to push or call out during lessons. A bigger rug will allow all students to have their own personal space to learn and grow. In addition, it will decrease behavior during lessons and activities.
My students enjoy working on the floor with their friends!
I would love for them to be able to have space to work in small groups on activities and projects! Having this will help my students a great deal!
