Do you remember getting to touch the big silver ball and your hair stood on end? I do and because of that experience I wanted to be a science teacher. Now that I am a science teacher, I want to provide this wonderful experience to all of my students as well!
I teach in an inner-city school with very few opportunities to venture out on field trips.
My students don't travel outside of the city limits very often and have limited opportunities to expand their life experiences. My students crave these experiences!
My Project
It is my goal to provide exciting, hands-on experiences for these wonderful kids. To watch their eyes light up with anticipation of getting to do science in such unique, fun ways. Because of Donors Choose my students can't wait for science class and 50% of my students participate in our after school science club because of all this excitement! Now that is success!
If you and I can inspire students to love science and better yet, motivate them to choose a science career path, than you and I can stand up (along with our hair) and cheer!
