My Students
My kindergarten class is an excellent group of children. Students are so excited to get into the school. They are working so hard to get their feet under them after many had to skip preschool due to COVID-19 restrictions. Many students were not allowed the opportunity to go to a preschool so many of my students are in the classroom for the first time. They are in need of a great deal of hands-on attention, as well as SEL attention.
My Project
With the provided tools for our classroom, students will be able to use a hands-on form of learning. This is very important for our youngest students. Flexible seating will allows my student's to stay alert and focused, as well as increasing oxygen to the brain.
Using a variety of manipulatives and sensory tools such as plastic animals, balancing rocks, and stacking stars in the classroom is an excellent way to allow growth and visuals and kinesthetic learning.
This form of learning in vital to the age of kindergarten students.
COVID-19 has changed the lives of many, and having students in the school building is such a wonderful thing. Students need hands on learning and interaction. These tools will give them the learning that they so deserve.
