My Project

To learn, children and adolescents need to feel safe and supported. Without these conditions, the mind reverts to a focus on survival. Educators in high-performing, high-poverty schools have long recognized the critical importance of providing a healthy, safe, and supportive classroom and school environment.

It is my goal to have each child feel safe and comfortable while they are in my classroom.

I am hoping to make my classroom feel as homey and comfortable as possible. My students will succeed if they are comfortable. A place to hang, charge their computers, clear labeled storage, calming scents, and an alternative place to work are all asked for in this project.
