My Project
The project will be a core challenge for my gifted students to develop a standardized, reusable "STEM Kit" library and an accompanying training program for the entire school. They will document the materials, learning objectives and step by step instructions for each kit. They will create an easy to follow training module for teachers and peer helpers.
The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do ~ Steve Jobs
Once the kits are built and the checkout system is established, it will be highly sustainable with the reusable materials. The project has high impact because it turns 50 gifted students into trainers and resource developers for 30+ teachers and potentially 500 students school wide.
My gifted students require high level critical thinking, complex problem solving, and leadership/communication skills to maximize their learning potential. This project also provides equitable access to high quality hands on STEM materials that the school might not otherwise be able to afford for every single classroom.
