it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help our Little Chefs of LMA get healthy! Our Kindergarten Falcons are working on a Project-Based Unit that promotes healthy foods and healthy eating. We want our students to understand the benefits and ways to create easy snacks at home with their parents. Students will research the different food groups, find snacks that involve those food groups, and create their own healthy snacks to share with the school community.
We need your help in preparing our littles for the healthy food journey ahead!
To be in full chef character, students will use their aprons and chef hats every time they work on their PBL Unit. This will prepare them to understand, we are now working on being healthy and healthy snacks. The knife and cutting board set will be utilized within the classroom to demonstrate how to stay safe when utilizing this cooking utensil. This will also promote independent cooking activities at home since the students will be practicing cutting fruits, vegetables, etc. in the classroom. The knife and cutting board set will be sent home after the unit is complete as a gift and a promise to continue with healthy preparation and eating with their families.
