My students need headphones to support their use of various pieces of technology to complete individual research projects and support inquiry based and personalized learning in the Library.

My Students

Do you remember getting lost in an amazing book? The students at my school come to the Library each week in the hopes of finding the perfect book to transport them to other worlds, introduce them to new characters, and teach them new things.

The Library fosters a love of reading while encouraging students to not just consume information, but to create with it through reading, technology, and research.

I am the Librarian at a PreK-5th grade elementary school who works weekly with over 800 students of diverse backgrounds. My students are voracious readers, technology minded, and inquisitive.

My Project

Every week over 800 students come into the Library to complete a variety of group and independent activities, projects, and lessons. Many times, the use of technology is required and my students love using a variety of electronic devices to discover new information. Oftentimes this includes them viewing videos, listening to podcasts, and even creating their own audio files.

The use of headphones will allow my students complete independence and autonomy when using technology on their Library Fact Finding Missions!

There is so much variety in how students can access information using technology these days, not just through reading an article, and these headphones would all them to access it all.
