This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our Dual Language program provides students the possibility to become bilingual and bi-literate individuals in both English and Spanish. Not only are they learning to speak in both languages, but they are also writing and reading as well. They receive instruction from two teachers in both languages on a daily basis.

Our students are amazing because although learning two languages is definitely an added challenge, many rises up to it and soar.

Their hard work and ability to transition from one language to the other is truly inspiring.

My Project

In the past, students usually used dry erase boards and markers for warm ups in all subjects. By obtaining these plastic covers, students will be able to take them home and use them as dry erase boards to practice some of the concepts that we will teach through distance learning. The pencil bags will help them organize their supplies and have them easily accessible. If we are to return to the physical classroom, students can bring them back to be used in school. In addition, the desk will help me when setting up a space at home to conduct distance learning.
