This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 19 amazing scholars located in an economically disadvantaged area in Duncanville, Texas. We are a school of just under 340 students who are working hard during this pandemic to ensure our babies continue to learn. Our students come from many backgrounds and cultures. Some are soaring with distance learning and we have a small number that come to class everyday with mask and shield ready to learn. We are a school community that believes in family and that together we can provide quality education and life skills that our students will need beyond the walls of our school.
My Project
Where you excited to open that brand new package of construction paper? Weren't you ready to show your teacher your awesome skills as an artist? Well some of my students won't get the opportunity to be so excited because this year has been a struggle for them. This year parents didn't send many of the school supplies our scholars needed for school. So now I don't have much left to start the school year. With this project, my students will have construction paper for projects in class and art. We will have dry erase boards for our small group time together. My students will finally have the earbuds needed to work on presentations on the ipads.
