My Students
My students are creative and aspiring kids. They come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community.
Many of my students have limited means to use technology at home.
Many depend on worksheet packets and whatever books they have at home. Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners.
My Project
My amazing students have been working incredibly hard using the assignments that I have given them with Google Classroom, Ted talks, and Newsela. However, my learners would benefit greatly from me having an attached keyboard on my iPad with updated capabilities to adequately and swiftly type messages, reading passages, and lessons for them. This would enable my students quickly see reviews, questions and feedback from activities and questions they have responded with. Improving the ability to see how education can be achieved from a video platform and reduce anxiety of not being in a classroom.
