My students come to school every day excited and ready to learn! They are eager to learn and try new things. I want them to know that I believe in them and they can do anything! I teach at a Title 1, pre-k through 2nd-grade school in inner-city Ohio where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Most of the students are living at or below the poverty line. My students are creative, caring, and very energetic. Our classroom is a hands-on learning community. I work with children who are four and five year-olds.
Their ability to love learning excites me to find new and exciting ways to teach things to them.
They love to learn about new things. They love to look up information online together and will ask many questions to learn as much as they can.
My Project
The texts I am requesting will be used to help teach some of our studies and to intro the new centers to the students. These books will be used during the routines and school study. Some books I am asking for include Perfect Square, Color Farm, Mouse Shape, Little Blue and Little Yellow and I Like Me!.
I will use a fiction and non-fiction books to create a joy of reading in my students.
I have already obtained some of the books on my list to support the weekly themes. They have gotten costly and I need some help obtaining the rest.
