This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As our music classroom starts to grow, I am trying to add instruments to our collection for my students to hear different instruments in a live setting. These items will make a difference in their learning by giving them the opportunity to not only hear them, but to experience playing them as they learn new techniques to improve their musicality.
My goals for these items is to have the kids experience percussion with high quality instruments that they may encounter if they decide to be in band/orchestra when they grow older.
What makes my students special is that they come from all walks of life and have built a passion for learning about music and the various sounds that come from different instruments. They respect and love music for what it is, and what it can be.
