My Project

In many low-income high schools, students face the challenge of limited access to food, which can negatively impact their academic performance and well-being. Providing snacks to these students during the school day can offer a simple yet essential solution to this problem. Snacks help bridge the gap for students who may not have enough to eat at home, ensuring they have the energy and focus to succeed in school.

A major benefit of providing snacks is that they help prevent hunger during class.

Hungry students often struggle to concentrate, and their academic performance may suffer as a result. By offering snacks, schools can reduce the distractions that come with hunger, allowing students to remain engaged and perform better in their studies.

Moreover, snacks can promote healthy eating habits. For students from low-income families, these snacks might be their only access to nutritious food during the day. With healthy options available, students are more likely to experience better overall health, which in turn supports their learning and development.

In conclusion, providing snacks in low-income high schools is a vital way to support students' education, health, and overall well-being. It helps ensure that every student has the resources they need to thrive academically and socially.
