This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Classroom organization is crucial for young children as it helps create a structured and predictable environment where they can thrive. Our children need a space to store writing and math folders. They would also keep their headphones and individual school supplies in each open space of the storage cabinet. We do not have desks so this piece of furniture would keep them organized. The corner binder unit would be a great addition to holding their writing binders. Right now we keep them in a pile. When a classroom is well-organized, children feel secure and know where to find what they need, whether it's materials for a project, books for reading, or spaces for quiet time.
A tidy, organized space minimizes distractions and fosters a sense of responsibility, as children learn to care for their environment.
It also supports their independence by making it easier for them to navigate their surroundings and engage in activities without feeling overwhelmed. Overall, an organized classroom promotes focus, learning, and positive behavior, making it a key foundation for academic and social success. These two pieces of furniture would greatly benefit the children.
