My Project
Help me bring back the love of reading inside our classroom! I spend countless hours planning and looking for books that I know my students will enjoy and have great discussions on.
In using the book The Hunger Games, my students will be able to have grand discussions on government, human rights, and the role that decision-making plays in each of our lives.
I am also requesting birthday cards so that my scholars will feel special on his/her special day. I notice that some of my scholars are not able to celebrate their birthdays for different reasons such as money or because they have other responsibilities.
I recall the excitement I had for reading as a child in the 90s, and I want to recreate that feeling for my students. This book will also help me to continue to keep my students engaged in reading and help to show that reading can be just as exciting as video games or the internet. This book will also help us to continue our 25-book campaign journey. Long live reading!
