My Project

I am a fourth-year teacher at a Title 1 school that is in the heart of a low-income area. Most of my students are 7 years old who are less fortunate, and come to school with very little. I want to give them the tools they need to be successful.

I want my students to love reading.

A new library will motivate them to be better readers. With new books, reading stations, and other manipulatives, I can provide the education they need and deserve. With finger flashlights, students can read books in the dark on Fridays. With the chair pockets, the students can remain organized by having somewhere to store their library books, folders, and seatwork.
