My Project

Currently, my students are studying how science can help solve real-world problems. The students have read articles about organizations that have introduced solar cookers to individuals in less developed regions of the world. The students will be designing, building, and testing their own solar oven to determine if this simple, yet powerful use of technology can make a difference. The supplies requested would allow each student to create and test their own oven which will be promoting the learning of heat transfer in a fun and interesting manner. In short, cooking with the sun's power is a fun way to use a renewable resource with excellent results.
