The energetic students' in my classroom come in ready to learn and are eager to be there.
I teach in a rural school district with a population of students that are rich in their Native American culture.
Each student brings something unique to our classroom.
My students love hands on projects and being creative. When our learning is tied to the real world it becomes more meaningful and the type of learning that sticks with them for years to come!
My students also love to read and love to be read to. Books can help take learning to a whole new level.
My Project
The students in my classroom love to read! Not only do they love to read, but they love to be read to! Story time has become our most favorite time of the day.
Picture this.
You're feeling tired after recess and lunch. You walk into your classroom and your teacher says, "Story time!" You find your place an eagerly wait for her to start so you can get your adventure started. "That's it for today!" you hear your teacher say. That's it? It can't be!
For many of my students this is reality. They cannot get enough of a great story. Help us keep that going with amazing children's stories like My Dog is as Smelly as Dirty Socks, Aliens from Earth, and Miracle Mud.
These stories will help enhance their learning of skills such as Figurative Language, Text Structure, Main Idea, Point of View, Theme, Making Inferences, and Story Elements. These skills are often hard for young minds to grasp. A great story can take away the stress and worry and replace those with comfort and ease. Help us keep learning fun!
