My Project
My students live in high-poverty sections of the city and they attend an urban public school. They face many hardships outside of school that make it challenging for them to stay focused on the importance of education. However, they take great pride in their work and strive to be successful.
My students have enormous potential that they will reach with encouragement and motivation.
They continuously make me proud!
New supplies aways put a little pep in everyone's step and helps learning continue with minimal disruptions. For example, water bottles become essential this time of year. As the weather gets warmer having their own water bottles really cuts down on interrupted learning. Also, the seat sacks they are currently using have been recycled for several years now so it is not surprising that some have ripped. New ones will get us through the year and can be reused next year! These are essential since my students sit at tables and not desks. The seat sacks allow them to keep some belongings where they are always readily available.
