Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The student population in our school is very diverse and we as ESOL teachers are hosting a Heritage Club, where students will spend time together making pinatas, friendship bracelets, posters about their countries, giving presentations about their culture, and cooking typical dishes. This will make it possible for the students learn about each other through sharing traditions and facts about their heritage.

These materials are necessary for our students to be able to make piñatas, bracelets, posters, presentations about their countries, and have a good time learning from each other.

While the students spend time together working, they exchange ideas and information about their heritage, as well as develop skills in making things with their own hands, and developing tolerance and understanding for diversity in our school community
