This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A new carpet for our whole group learning area will transform the way we start each day. During morning meetings and lessons, students will have a comfortable, designated space to gather, share ideas, and build a strong classroom community. This carpet will help create structure, focus attention, and make learning feel more inviting and inclusive.
In our classroom library, a cozy reading carpet will provide a quiet, welcoming space for students to curl up with a good book.
It will encourage independent reading, spark a love of stories, and give students a peaceful retreat where they can explore new ideas and worlds through books. A dedicated reading space helps reinforce the importance of literacy and gives students ownership of their learning.
Together, these two carpets will help us build a classroom environment that supports both collaboration and independent growth.
