My Students
Our classroom has been affected by the coronavirus in many different ways. We are a classroom that loves to do hands-on activities and community building; with us not being in the classroom, we are trying our best to keep learning fun and engaging from a distance.
My Project
As I was researching book choices to read with my class, these two books came up as an excellent selection. I surveyed my class as well and these books were a top pick. What interested me in these book choices is that they were a 4th grade favorite pick of mine as well. Students in 4th learn a lot about lumberjacks, survival, start of our state, so I thought Hachet would be the perfect fit for our curriculum. I also wanted to purchase the 2nd book in the series because it would be a good follow up to the first book. Hopefully students will be hooked and want to continue the series.
Well, as it turns out they are hooked as we have been reading this series throughout our virtual learning experience, so getting these books would help to continue their wish to read more of the series!
