The Greatest Show on Earth Kindergarten (Besides Savannah Bananas)

Help me give my students earphones -(earphones are the most needed),cardstock and first writing tools. Our kindergarteners need sturdy headphones to last all year, cardstock is used for creativity, and the first writing pencils to ensure a proper grip.

My Project

Kindergarten is the greatest year of a students’ life. Many graduated students I have taught have stated this to me. Students need quality headphones for the required educational activities on the computer, without disturbing their neighbor. Our school is a Title 1 school, therefore some students are unable to obtain headphones which may last a week. If students have the exact same headphones it will show unity and equality for the required computerized assignments. Also, each student will have the exact same sound quality, creating a level field for all students to learn.

Students need pencils and more pencils.

I am asking for a pencil dispenser for the students. The dispenser would be available for the students to get a pencil as they need one. A few students I have noticed are shy about asking for a new pencil. So once the class has their dispenser it should help encourage replacing any pencils as needed. (Even the ones with erasers they may have chewed, lol). The students being five and six years old will enjoy the pencil dispenser they can use. All students write well with a sharpened pencil with a nice eraser. I am also requesting “First Pencils” for the students. The “First Pencils” are thicker and easier for students to learn to correctly grip.

I love how creative students can be. Cardstock was their jam! This year’s students enjoyed creating replicas of Abraham Lincoln’s cabin from a tissue box and cardstock. The window had a real penny glued as Lincoln may be looking out. The students made cards for nursing homes and military service member. Bulletin board paper was used to create life size animals like the emperor penguin.
