My Students
I have a class of eager first graders. It is a time to instill the love of learning. They start out barely reading when they come to me. They come on many levels and many interests but all full of energy.
I love the excitement of the children as they improve their reading skills and the look on their faces as they learn something new from a book they read.
The students have a lot to learn and enjoy what they do in school. Joy is an important aspect required to absorb information. I am inspired to provide this as their teacher.
My Project
These books will match our curriculum in teaching several genre types and styles of today's authors. It will instill a love of learning , listening, and studying a wide variety of interesting children's books.
Good books inspire readers as well as writers as we introduce our students to some of the best books available.
I am excited to open those covers for the first time and walk through the pages with the children, talking , wondering, and imagining as we go.
These books will enhance the specific points made in our teaching. We go over structure of stories, plot, conclusions, sentences, paragraphs, fact, fiction and style.
