The Great Sketchbook Adventure

Help me give my students a personal individualized sketchbooks to foster and empower their imagination, creativity, pride, and artistic growth.

My Project

Many of my students love expressing themselves through art, often carrying personal journals or sketchbooks made from composition or spiral-bound notebooks. They’re always excited to share their creations — but not all students have the means to purchase these materials.

While I’ve taught students how to make mini sketchbooks, I know how meaningful it would be for each of them to have a full-sized, personal notebook to call their own.That’s why I’m asking for your help.

With your support, I can provide each 3rd and 4th grade student with their own custom sketchbook. These sketchbooks will not only serve as a creative outlet but also as a personal record of their artistic growth. A disc hole punch will allow students to add pages, include drawings made at home, and store artwork safely in folders — making the sketchbook a flexible, lasting tool.

•Foster a love for creativity and self-expression

•Improve students' technical art skills

•Build connections between art and core academic subjects

•Ensure equity in access to quality art materials
