My students need privacy partitions to give them a personal work space in which to complete their tests and their classwork.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Felder's classroom raised $201

My Students
I teach junior high Social Studies in a small rural district in southwest Mississippi. We don't have the traditional student desks in my classroom. We have learning tables that the students sit around. This facilitates group work and interactive discussion.
Sometimes, however, a little privacy is needed...like when the students have to take their state-mandated tests each spring.
We work on projects at times and the kids don't want the other students to see their designs before they get to "unveil" it in their presentation to the class. It is hard to keep anything from roving eyes when sitting around a table with five or six other students.
My Project
Cardboard privacy partitions that can be easily set up and easily removed would solve this problem. The students who want privacy could have that choice, and those who prefer to do their work in a group setting could continue working at the same table. Privacy partitions would fulfill the state requirement for separation of the students during their mandatory testing. Right now, we have to staple together file folders and that just doesn't work very well at all. The students end up distracted by the often-collapsing "partition". Heavy cardboard partitions designed to actually BE a partition are what we need!
Something as simple as a heavy piece of cardboard can change the dynamic of a classroom.
It would be amazing to be able to set up nice, neat, colorful partitions in May when we take our state tests! Thank you in advance for your consideration of my request.
