My Students

My students come from all different backgrounds. Their diversity is part of what makes them unique and such a special group of students. They come to the table with such different strengths and abilities to offer in our classroom. The area of the city we live in offers the same diversity and our school reflects our community in a real way.

My students love of learning is a common thread in our classroom.

They love to learn and exchange in unique ways and continue to reflect that throughout the school day. They're special, each in their very own way!

My Project

A breakout box contains a collection of locks, keys, hidden ink, flashlights, and other hardware that is consistent with popular "Escape Rooms". Instead of using a room, BreakoutEDU uses a box requiring students to figure out codes and locks, find clues, and use critical thinking skills to "breakout" of the box, ultimately unlocking the entire box.

BreakoutEDU will be used in our classroom to review content in a way that encourages critical thinking, cooperation, and problem solving skills.

The benefit of using BreakoutEDU instead of a normal review is that it encompasses real world skills into content in the classroom.
