The Gingerbread Man Is Coming

Help me give my students the opportunity to work together by designing gingerbread houses.

My Project

It's the season to be jolly! Each year, I have my scholars participate in a stem activity by building gingerbread houses, and they love it! They love decorating it, they love working together, and they love being as creative as possible. This year, I have the same scholars, and they're asking if we are going to complete this project again.

"The gingerbread house activity" is an incentive for my scholars for positive work habits and behavior, and also an opportunity to learn how to design a "stable" home.

My scholars work hard in my class and have been reading and completing projects. They deserve a structured, yet fun activity that will create a core memory for years to come.

The cartons are so that scholars will have a template for their gingerbread houses. The piping bags are so that scholars can decorate their gingerbread houses with frosting. The frosting is so that students can stick the candy on the houses.

All and all, I am positive that this will create a great experience and a core memory that will last for years to come. I am also sure that after the New Year, my scholars will be excited to return to ELA.
