The Gift of Time

Help me give my students the gift of time: classroom timers to keep us on track, and bathroom timers for teeth brushing and handwashing.

My Project

Time management is an essential skill to learn for everyone. Telling time is not enough. They must know how to use time wisely by learning to balance time, when to take their time and not rush things, or when to speed things up to get things finished in a timely manner is a mandatory skill.

These timers will help my students learn the life skill of effective time management.

The Lakeshore Large Classroom Timer will teach the students to manage their time and not spend too much time on one assignment, to be able to keep track of the time. It will allow them to be responsible for the timing of centers and keep the class running.

The hand washing timer will help my students gain a better sense of how long they should spend in each stage of hand washing. This improves their over all health and decreases illness in the classroom.

The toothbrush timers will give a visual to each student to know how long they have been brushing and how much longer they need to continue brushing so that they can maintain good oral hygiene.
