My Students
I have recently switched from teaching self-contained, special education kindergarten to 3rd and 4th Grade Resource. I have between 20 and 30 students coming through my room multiple times a day for extra support in reading, writing, and math.
The students are sweet, loving, caring, ambitious, inquisitive, curious, and most of all LOVE to learn.
They enjoy creating projects, hands on activities, academic games, and movement activities. They come in every day eager to learn. They get so excited when they realize they have learned something new and that they are growing academically. These students are something special and I enjoy every second that I get to spend with them and watch them learn.
My Project
A document camera in our classroom will provide several opportunities for the students. First, it will greatly benefit the students in my class that have vision impairments by making the worksheets much larger on the classroom TV and easier to read. In addition, it will allow the students a more effective way to access the content by displaying what we are doing, instead of everyone gathering around the worksheet. It will also allow all of the students to share their work with the rest of the class, giving them a sense of accomplishment and pride, while still following the social distancing criteria in our school.
