The Gift of Research Will Challenge Our Minds

My students need Chromebooks to enhance the availability of research for their Gifted & Talented year-long projects.

My Students

I am very fortunate to lead a fantastic group of roughly 100 Gifted & Talented (G/T) students - grades Kinder through 5th. Research is a big component of their year-long project, as well as a great learning tool, and having Chromebooks at their fingertips would make the research process easier for them. Plus, Chromebooks allow for students to be mobile to work in small groups, in a classroom, or even in the library.

Last year was our first year in participating in TPSP, which is a researched driven project chosen by each student.

Many of our second grade students last year researched athletes. This year, one of the TPSP projects that we may research is "Everybody on the Move." Students will have to research student's movement on a daily basis, and see what trends or patterns they notice.

My students show a passion in their research as they want to learn everything they can about their topic of interest. The question is... why not research on a Chromebook? Today's generation loves using technology and it makes learning exciting and portable!

My Project

My students are engaged in a year-long project that requires participation in learning experiences, research, developing their final project, and presenting. All four components require portable technology while challenging and extending my students' minds. Chromebooks are flexible as they include an attached keyboard to type on, as well as a touch screen.

Funding this project will allow the world of research at their fingertips in a portable fashion.

I want to give the opportunity to my students to dive deeper into their projects by having research at their fingertips. Plus, Chromebooks allow my students to research and present anywhere. Please help me help them be the leaners and leaders of our next generation.
